Dancing the night away!
On Saturday evening, my sister and I decided to go the Copa and experience Dance Hall Reggae. I admit I was not completely jazzed about going out but my sister heard some good stuff about it so I decided to go with. In the picture I am jamming to my iPod while applying my "going out" makeup which consists of black eyeliner and red lipstick. Nothing too exciting because I am all about the dancing when I go out. I already got a man. We finally left the house after about an hour of primping and preening. I wore some sneakers because I figured it was like hip hop dancing and the fastest way to put a damper on the night is to experience the exquisite pain of dancing in high heels. Some girls have that gift, I do not.
We were fortunate to find a parking spot close to the club complete with some crazy, crying dude. My sister thought he was the parking attendant at first until she noticed he was talking gibberish. We paid the real parking attendant and started to walk away. Crazy dude yelled at us more specifically the lady in red, my sister, that he knew her dad and called her Donna. He also yelled that she would never get to know her dad. Needless to say, we walked fast to the club, just in case he decided to lay his hands on us. Because we would have had to have tapped into our Wonder Twin Power and kick his ass! Luckily, nothing came of it.
We arrived early and the dance hall reggae had not started, yet. So, we killed some time watching the salsa dancers. There were some good dancers out. I got asked to dance which never happens. I thought at first that one of my boobs was hanging out. Nope, those babies were locked and loaded. I had fun dancing salsa but I am way out of practice. Eventually, the dance hall reggae started and it was awesome. I don't know that style of dancing but with my belly dance background I can shake my ass to just about anything. Before we left, we caught one last Merengue dance in which an incredibly short man grabbed me out of the crowd and danced with me. I was almost flattered until he did some kind of dance off with his male friends and I realized I was just a girlie prop that he could lean on when he did some crazy ass dances.
Overall, the night was fun and it felt good just to hang out with the sister and drink. We definitely have to do it again soon.
Oh, by the way, my sister had the most funniest way a guy has ever asked her dance. She was dancing away then a guy came up and slapped her on her thigh. She was like, WTF? Not hot, so FYI guys, don't smack a woman anywhere to get her dance. It just ain't gonna happen.

Heh heh, it's so much more fun to go out when you're not out to impress anybody! I feel sorry for the girls trying to party in heels.
Sme, I have danced in heels and was flinching from the pain within 30 minutes. I'll take comfort over looks anyday.
