Well, it would have happened sooner or later. My coffee table which was donated to us by my mother in law has died. It pretty much had a terminal life span because it was mostly wicker which is just a fancy word for "expensive cat scratching post" and glass. My sister sat on it and broke the small twig of a support bar and fell through it shattering the glass. I was scared shitless. I thought she really hurt herself but it was chocolate from a sundae that looked scarily like blood. She didn't have a scratch on her but sadly my table was toast. Now that I look back on it...it was pretty cool. One moment she was sitting and the next she was through a table. I keep laughing out loud when I think about it which really annoys my sister. She has been thinking about taking some classes and my suggestions are either stuntman school or better yet clown classes. I can totally see her with a red nose and her cat with a cute little harlequin outfit. By the way my sister is a total downer. I saw a little sombrero for 4 bucks at Walmart today and I was compelled to buy it. My sister said no but I may go back for it. I have a little thing were I take photos of my kitties with hats on. I think it's cute but my husband thinks I need some meds or at the least some therapy.
In other news, I drew blood for the first time this week. It was cool. I was so worried about causing my victim, I mean patient, pain but in the end I only gave him a slightly big ass bruise. I wanted to practice on the hubbie but he has this thing about being a human pincushion. Bummer.
Mr. Darcy is on his way to the Austin Humane Society. My apartment people have complained that I can't have him as an outdoor kitty and that I have reached my quota of kitties. He is scheduled to go in on December 6th. In the meantime he is getting lots of love and outdoor food.
Other than that stuff it's been the same old same old. Lots of school and studying and I am counting the days until Thanksgiving so that I am be able to sleep in and not worry about school for a couple of hours and, of course, the turkey.
