Lupita and Me!

Whew! I haven't posted anything in a bit but now that I have some time here are some tidbits on my mind. Munchkin is still not better. In fact, he seems to be getting worse. I am planning to take him to the vet on Monday. I believe his poop chute is blocked aka he's constipated. I love that cat but what I hate is worrying if he will get better or not. I can only cross my fingers and hope that he will be cured soon. School is stressful and lots of work but I noticed that I enjoy the things that I work really hard to obtain. I am having fun in my classes and next week we do venipuncture on each other in my lab. Yeah! The hubbie is a little bummed but I am hoping to cheer him up with a slutty costume. Hmm...nurse or cheerleader, I can't make up my mind. If that doesn't work I will have to work my magic like Lupita is working her magic on me in the picture.

Other things that I learned this week. It feels good to say no and to make a decision. I like the ability to both and we need to appreciate them more. It is great to visit family, I haven't done that in a long time and it was fun seeing my white boy husband hang out with my Mexican family and they loved him especially my new baby second cousin. She had eyes only for my husband. I told her to stop eyeballing my man but since she is only 7 months she just stared at me and gurgled. I also learned that drinking with friends is great but getting drunk sucks because I hate puking up good liquor and the hangover the next day just plain sucks. Posted by Picasa

A little update!

I know, I know, I have been slacking on my posts. It's midterms so I have my nose to the grindstone. Here is a little update for you guys.

Munchkin went to my holistic healer vet. He has been having problems with a serious kidney infection that made his left kidney swell to three times its normal size. Did an ultrasound, urine analysis and more antibiotics but we may have to switch his meds since they make him pukey and my carpet can't take much more punishment. The vet also recommended putting him on a renal diet and some acupuncture. Well, see about the needles but we are doing the diet. I hope he will get better soon.

I went karaoking with my sister at Baby A's last Thursday. I had tons of fun but I was bummed that the song selection was kind of small. I sang "Baby Got Back" by Sir-Mix-A-Lot but I really wanted to sing "Daisy Dukes", bummer. The crowd was great and we even bumped into an old school chum. Good times. Maybe I will go back when all this school crap has lessened.

School is starting to get interesting. After weeks of boring quality control and standard curves, I finally get to look at a urine sample. My husband teases me that I find this interesting but I am a clinical science major and very weird. Guess what I found? Sperm. Unfortunately, I didn't have any info on the person who donated the sample but I am guessing it was a man or a sexually active female. Pretty cool, huh?

Other than that I have been busy with school and trying to maintain my sanity. The hubbie is doing good to but I can't wait till Christmas break when I can snuggle deep in the covers with all my cats and eat a lot. I just have to keep my eye on the prize.

Bastard broke my window!

After I a nice and relaxing weekend I went to my car to go to school this morning and found this. My car window was shattered and the only thing keeping it together was the tint. It looks like someone tried to push the window down and when they couldn't they took some kind of blunt instrument and tried to punch out the car window. When it didn't shatter they moved on. There were at least 5 other cars in the apartment complex that were hit and they were also sporting some busted windows. I am not going to lie I was upset and everyone became a suspect. My crackhead neighbor, that nice old man digging in the trash the other day, the couple at the end of my building who neglect their dog but I wasn't going to let it ruin my day. I had to go to school and I needed to take my cat to the vet today. My sister came in and saved the day, too. While I was in class she found some one to replace my window. Thanks, chica. She has plenty of experience dealing with that because of her big baby called an ex-husband. The boy just couldn't deal with the stress that is called life. Anyways, by the time I got out of class, I was able to just hit the easy button and the glass guy was on his way. He arrived 30 minutes later and fixed in another 30. I told him that living were we live it was just a matter of time till your car gets broken into and I figure I saved up enough money from all those skipped oil changes that I could afford a new window. Sucks though that's 200 bucks down the hole but the big picture is that my family is okay, my cats are okay and I am okay. Better the car than me but I am feeling aprehensive. I am a little superstitious. Last Monday, I got rearended in traffic (just a scratch on the bumper) and this Monday, my window is busted. I have another bad event involving my car coming my way and then the trifecta is complete. Overall, I know that the poor fool who broken into my car was some drug addict looking for something easy to steal and I get warm and fuzzy that the mofo couldn't even break into my car. Plus, if he had, I learned my lesson. There is nothing to steal in my car except for the easy reading called my car manual. Plus, I feel for that guy when he gets caught. Chances are that he will either get caught by the police and get buggered in prison or break into a drug dealer's car and get shot. Either way he is fucked and I am going to be just fine. Posted by Picasa

Guess what stinks?!

The other day while leaving for school, my car was blocked in by someone who was dumpster diving in our apartment's dumpster. I didn't realize it until I had started my car and was backing up that there was a big ass car behind me. Hey, it's early in the morning and I wake up on the drive to school so I don't have my wits about me yet. Anyways, I was running a little late, so I turned off my car and went to confront the person who was blocking my car. I went up to the dumpster and asked him kindly to move his car. A very friendly older black man apologized for blocking me and graciously moved his car. He even waved at me when I passed him in the parking lot, what a nice guy. On the drive to school I started feeling guilty because I remembered what I put in my trash from the night before. That night my husband and I were cleaning out Munchkin's ears(he can grow taters in them) when we noticed a strong odor of shit. We let our ear cleaning victim go but the odor still lingered. We smelled each other and looked at the bottom of our shoes and then we noticed Lupita hanging about. I picked her up and held her up in the air with her face facing me and I took a long whiff but I did smell anything wrong. My husband stared at her bum and said, "I think I know where that smell is coming from." I turned her around and she had two rock hard turds stuck to her fluffy ass. I dropped her like she was hot and groaned because it always seems that I have to be the one stuck cleaning up some cat's ass. Well, my husband stepped up to the plate, guy style. He volunteered to clean her...so he asked me to hold her over the trash can while he clipped the poo out of her fur with a pair of scissors. Not the way I would have handled it but I didn't have to handle poo so in the end not only is my hero but he also gave my sister's cat a buzz cut on her bum. I just feel bad for that nice gentleman who was digging in the trash. He probably thinks there are some nasty tenants who don't know how to use a toilet.

P.S I think Lupita's new name should be Poopita. Just a suggestion.
